Sausage, Cheese, and Spinach Egg’wich

Ingredients 

For the Beet Hummus 

  • 8 oz breakfast sausage
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 4 Spinach and Cheese Protein Rounds
  • 2 slices American Cheese
  • 1/4 cup spinach

 Directions

  1. Heat a small cast-iron skillet over a medium-high flame
  2. Add the sausage and cook, undisturbed, until browned and crisp, 1 to 3 minutes per side
  3. Set aside and cover with foil
  4. In the same pan, add the b utter and Protein Rounds, and cook just 1 minute on each side, or just until warmed through
  5. Add sausage to one round and top with spinach and cheese
  6. Top with second round
  7. Serve with ketchup or your favorite sauce
