While the reseal may be a challenge, it will never cause the product to become moldy. If the packaging was left opened, not sealed correctly, and kept at all times in the refrigerator or freezer, they will become dry but will never create any food safety issues. We are working on upgrading our packaging to make it seal better. You can always store the opened wraps in a Ziploc bag for optimal freshness. While the reseal may be a challenge, it will never cause the product to become moldy. We do not recommend consuming products post expiry date.
The best indication of shelf life is the expiration date on the package. The best use by date is marked on the back of the package by either Crepini or the retailer and we suggest using them before that date or freezing them. (If the package is unopened, the product can be frozen for a year). It is most important to keep Crepini products in the refrigerator at all times and once opened to consume them within seven days.
The best way to store Crepini is in the refrigerator. If they have been opened, putting them in a Ziploc bag helps keep the product fresh. Our Crepini products can also be frozen for up to a year if they haven’t been opened. After they have been frozen, you can thaw them out by putting the package in the refrigerator for several hours. The best way to store Crepini is in the refrigerator. Our Crepini products must always be refrigerated. We suggest not leaving them out of the refrigerator for more than 2 hours and never in a hot room. However, if the temperature in the room is not too warm, we suggest checking to see if any mold has developed, typically black or green color spots. It’s always best to use your judgment.
Crepini products are good to eat for seven days after the package is opened. They may be good for longer but you should always smell them and use your best judgement.
The reason we use seven days as guidance is because at Crepini we want our customers to enjoy our products at their ultimate freshness. If not consumed within the seven days after opening, the product may dry out, even if they are stored in the refrigerator. They may still be good after seven days but always use your best judgement. Check if they are moldy, slimy, or smell bad. We cannot guarantee freshness after seven days.

Once Crepini products are thawed in the refrigerator we suggest that they be used within seven days.
Our Crepini Wraps are not Whole30 approved but they are Whole30 compliant. Our omelets with cheddar and/or meat sandwiches are not Whole30 compliant.

Crepini at one time had Egg White Thins® and this was replaced with a better tasting, more durable Crepini Egg Wrap that has some egg yolk in the product. We continue to explore ways to reduce cholesterol so that everyone can enjoy them.
